| Sundown National Park is south west of Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt in South East Queensland. Sundown National Park is located approximately 198km southwest of Brisbane near the villages of Ballandean and Wallangarra.

Hiking at Sundown National Park
There are many adventures to be had at Sundown National Park.
· Bushwalkers can enjoy the short graded walk to Permanent Waterhole from the Broadwater campground.
· Serious walkers can choose to explore the Severn River or the upper reaches of Ooline Creek.
· Seasoned walkers can enjoy a two-day circuit taking in Mount Lofty and Red Rock Gorge within Sundown National Park
Wildlife at Sundown National Park
The pristine environment of Sundown National Park makes it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Ducks, herons, cormorants and tiny azure kingfishers thrive along the Severn River.
Line fishing is allowed at Sundown National Park at the many pristine waterholes.
Getting to Sundown National Park
Sundown National Park is a 3–4 hour drive south-west of Brisbane.
The Broadwater camping area at the southern end of Sundown National Park can be reached by conventional vehicle from Stanthorpe along 76km of bitumen road and 4km of good gravel road.
Sundown National Park can also be reached from Tenterfield, 52km west on the Bruxner Highway to Mingoola and a further 12km to the park entrance.
