The Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre is located at 28 Leslie Parade Stanthorpe, overlooking scenic Quart Pot Creek. It's open daily 9am to 5pm (except Christmas Day and Good Friday) or contact us on 1800 SO COOL.
The Visitor Information Centre is staffed mostly by volunteers, with an extensive combined local knowledge of the area. Visitor Centre staff can advise on local attractions, as well as assisting with your travel plans beyond Stanthorpe and the Granite Belt. Services available include an online accommodation booking service, and a souvenir and gift shop.
The centre supervisors also have the daily task of taking temperature and weather readings from the onsite weather station at 9am and 3pm and entering their collected data into the Bureau of Meteorology database, which is then displayed inside the centre.
A cafe also operates at the centre, and has a coffee deck with one of Stanthorpe's best views of picturesque Quart Pot Creek. The souvenir and gift shop comprises a vast assortment of local Granite Belt products - soaps and natural body products, lavender, james and sauces. Come in and have a good browse around the shop. For your convenience a number of gift baskets have been prepared to make shopping for that unusual gift just a bit easier.
New volunteers are always welcome! For more information on becoming a volunteer in Queensland's premier wine region, contact 07 4681 2057.
