During winter we'll be loading a series of new pages telling you more about the events which are on during Primavera - which is the Granite Belt celebration of Spring. Primavera translates from the Italian word meaning spring, or spring style. Click on the Primavera tab in the Events section or access this via the Primavera logo on the home page. On the Granite Belt Primavera is a celebration of the region's food and wine, against the backdrop of the blossoming fruit trees and budding grape vines. It is a time when new vintage wines are released during a series of events throughout the Queensland wine capital. Some of these are major annual events and concerts, others are smaller, more intimate lunches, dinners and wine tastings.

The long awaited 2008 Sirromet Long Lunch is on again on Saturday 01 November – This year the format has changed and we are very excited to present from Sydney acclaimed Australian bush band ‘Inland Navigator’...www.inlandnavigators.com.au.

We will kick off at 11am with a 1 hour concert on the lawn followed by a traditional aussie bbq featuring succulent steaks cooked at the table. Guests will once again be seated at our famous 250 metre long table where there will be bbqs scattered all the way along the table to ensure your steak is cooked in perfect conditions.

Prior to enjoying your steak and camp oven potato and garden salads guests will indulge in a gourmet antipasto hamper. The meal will be topped off with a yummy freshly baked dessert. As you dine, Inland Navigators and other local performers will roam the length of the table entertaining one and all.

At 3.30pm Inland Navigators will perform once again and guests will be invited to join with the band to dance both a mixture of bush dancing and general bopping until 6.00pm.....

Once again guest numbers will be capped and return bus transfers from Stanthorpe will be available.
