Half Day Self Guided Drive Tours around the Granite Belt

Begin today’s northern culture drive in town at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery in Lock/Marsh Street. Stroll through a large and diverse range of public programmes encompassing more than just the visual arts.

Enjoy a kaleidoscope of goodies all made, baked, sewn or grown locally at Market in the Mountains, held fortnightly in the Stanthorpe Civic Centre in Lock Street. Open every second Sunday from 8am-12pm all year round, located indoors for your added comfort.

While in Stanthorpe visit the Heritage Museum at the top of High Street just south of the showgrounds. There are over 1000 items on display plus a range of out buildings all viewable for a small fee. Witness the unique history of this area brought to life.

Take a drive up to the Mount Marley lookout in Lock Street to enjoy spectacular views of Stanthorpe’s cosy township.

Head north then take the New England Highway south to visit the Queensland College of Wine Tourism (QCWT). Observe students training in the art of viticulture and hospitality tourism, complete with its own vineyard and winery, the first of its kind in the world. The QCWT is west off the town bypass on Old Caves Road where both the cellar door and Bistro are opened daily.

On your way back to Stanthorpe be sure to pop into Pure Heaven on Old Caves Road and delight your senses in the natural skin care products made on the property.
