GBWT Membership

The Granite Belt Wine & Tourism (GBWT) is a not for profit community based organisation. It currently has in excess of 100 Full Members, a rapidly expanding list of Associate Members and an elected eleven person Management Committee. We operate the Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre (VIC) and have a small number of employees plus two trainees. Our income is derived from members, Council and retail sales through the Visitor Informatino Centre. We further the interests of our members in four major ways:   Advocacy – representing members’ interests with government and other stakeholders. Promotion – promoting the region and members’ businesses.  We are committed to marketing the Granite Belt as Queensland’s premier wine tourism region. Service – best practice management of the Visitor Information Centre for the benefit of members and providing on-going support to members Development – maintaining, developing and enforcing product and service standards. Joining the Association will not only help your business, it will help the Association to help you.  The more wine, tourism and associated businesses that become members, the more effective the Association will be in furthering the interests of all members.
