The Granite Belt and its centre, town of Stanthorpe, are located on Queensland's Southern Downs, approximately three hours drive from Brisbane on the New England Highway. For local information click here to be redirected.
Dont know how to get here? Travelling south on the highway, Stanthorpe is the last major town in Queensland before you cross the border into NSW. Were you to keep travelling, you'd find Tenterfield about 15 minutes further on the New South Wales side of the border. Once you have arrived on the Granite Belt and enter the town centre, many people ues the post office (below right) as a useful landmark.

- By Air: Fly into Brisbane Intenational airport or Coolangatta Airport on the Gold Coast and transfer by car or coach. Alternatively charter services are available: Stanthorpe and neighbouring Warwick have airstrips.
