The Foodie

Granite Belt Foodies

This year we introduce seasonal food journeys connecting you to the people who grow and produce your fresh food, and the traditional methods that our multicultural community use to preserve and tore them. Be taken on a tour of the orchard or paddock where you will meet some of Queensland’s most passionate and colourful growers and producers. The journey continues back at the kitchen where you can learn the age old traditions that are still alive and well in the Granite Belt, with special secrets and recipes passed down through the generations. You’ll be served lunch using fresh seasonal produce and be able to take it all home with you!

Whether you’re looking for formal qualifications, or just wanting to be a better "dinner party cook”, the Granite Belt is the place to do it! Spend a Stanthorpe weekend experiencing the elevated flavours of the Granite Belt, and while you are here, learn how to make the most of the fresh local produce.
