This may be the only chance ever to taste consecutive vintages of the Robert Channon Verdelho from the first vintage in 2001 onwards. James Halliday says Robert Channon Wines is "arguably Australia's foremost producer of Verdelho". Peter Scudamore Smith said "The 2001,2002 and 2003 vintages are probably the greatest lineage of this variety in the world." Robert Channon Wines has kept a small number of bottles from each vintage and a limited number of these will be on sale over the weekend and a selection will be available for tasting each day. The wines will include the 2001, 2002 and 2003,each of which won the Trophy for Queensland's Best White Wine, seven gold medal winning vintages and the wine selected as the Queensland Parliament's 150th Anniversay wine.
