Experience this hands on production process of picking, crushing and pressing during the vintage months from March to May. Take a tour anytime of the year and talk with the winemaker about the winemaking process or view the winery from the viewing area in the cellar door. Tantalize your taste buds with varieties like Verdelho, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet, Mourvedre and Muscat. Curl up in front of the fireplace in the winter months with a glass of Pyramids Road wine.

Vintage Variety by the Fireplace
Pyramids Road operates a vineyard, winery and cellar door. Warren and Sue nurture the vines through spring and summer, ready for picking at vintage. Visit our cellar door during vintage and watch the crushing, ferments and pressing from the cellar door window. This is one of the more exciting times of the year and we invite you to join us at vintage. On your visit to our winery, you’ll discover that we delight in telling stories of our beginnings in the wine industry from the early days of planting to the heady moments of winning awards.
Our wines tell a story too. From the fruit in the vineyard to the wine in the barrel, the varieties are all very distinctive. The Merlot tells you of soft tannin and cherry fruit. The Verdelho is passionfruit and great with seafood. The Cabernet is mint and sweet berries. The Shiraz is cinnamon and cloves, dark berry fruit and spice. All the wines are made on site by Warren who finished his associate degree at Charles Sturt Uni in 2001.
With only a small range of wines and a 1.5 hectare vineyard, we are able to concentrate on high quality, both in the vineyard and the winery. We are determined to remain a small producer focused on small volumes of high quality wines. We aim to build a customer base on excellent service and outstanding quality.

Directions: Follow the highway south past Stanthorpe to the quaint little village of Ballandean. Continue along the highway for 5 minutes until you see the turnoff for Girraween National Park. Pyramids Road is approx. 8 kms north of Wallangarra. GPS 28.85315S, 151.87655E
