Granite Ridge’s Fergie’s Hill Cottage is a delightful place to stay in the Granite Belt. Close to restaurants and national parks this magical cottage is set amongst the vineyards and near enough to the winery to entice visiting wine lovers to help out with any or all aspects of the wine-making process.
The two-bedroom cottage has two bathrooms (one with Spa), log fire, full cooking facilities, a large deck overlooking the vineyard with beautiful views, perfect for enjoying the stunning sunsets or star gazing. Home made bread and jams are included in the breakfast basket, along with juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and freshly ground coffee. A complimentary bottle of wine on arrival and discounts on wine purchased.
The cellar door to Granite Ridge Wines (formerly Denlana Ferguson Estate Wines) has been open since late 1996. In this time it has produced Queensland’s best Cabernet two years in succession.
Our Goldies Unwooded Chardonnay has been given the distinction of selection as the official Parliamentary Wine of the Parliament of Queensland — the first time in history that a Queensland wine has been awarded this status.
Dennis Ferguson founded the winery in 1995 and the first vintage produced one trophy and two medals — an outstanding result for the fledgling vineyard. Success has continued to breed success and now the wines produced continue to grow in stature and flavour. Granite Ridge Wines is a boutique winery that is starting to make an impact on the wider Australian wine-making map.
All of the wine produced by Granite Ridge Wines — dry whites, dry reds, sweet and fortified wines — are all available for tasting and purchase at the cellar door of the winery. Cancellation Policy / Terms & Conditions Deposit of one nights accommodation confirms booking. If cancellation is prior to one month before arrival deposit is refunded less a 25% administration fee. Within a month all efforts are made to re-book the cottage. If unsuccessful the deposit is forfeited but may be transferred to another date if cancellation is prior to one week before arrival. No show - one nights accommodation will be charged at the full rate.
